The Opinionated Parent
Web site review. Read it Here! "...It’s one of my favourite signs of the season (along with the red cups at Starbucks) but it’s got to be good. The crap at the mall over the loudspeakers just doesn’t do it for me. When I received “Christmas Lullabies To Create Memories” by Paige Stroman I had a feeling I’d love it and now that we’ve been listening to it for a week I’ve got a funny feeling that you will too. It’s not your typical Christmas..." read more, about 1/3 down the page

Web site review. Read it Here! "Dust Off Your Dreams" in LullabyLand As her website states, Paige Stroman did just that. These are the artists that I love to write about. How much more inspiring is it to listen to music that is the direct result of a dream never forgotten? With her two albums so far, Paige has given us all a reason to..." read more

Local musicians sound off on new CDs - Author: Rick de Yampert

Paige Stroman, "Mother and Child"
Vital stats: Now a Deltona resident, singer Paige Stroman was born in New York and raised in Fort Lauderdale. After studying voice at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Stroman pursued a career in contemporary Christian music in Nashville, Tenn., before returning to Florida in 2000 with her husband and other family members.
The music: While in Nashville, Stroman met a "producer of lullabies and I was sold," she says. "I immediately knew I had found my niche in music."
Just one week before traveling to Canada to record "Mother and Child," Stroman says, "I fo und out I was pregnant with our first child! This made the recording p rocess even more special since I was now singing to my own child as well."
The 10-song CD includes such original lullabies as "My Child's Eyes," "Color Outside the Lines" and "Sparkles, Glitter and Gold," all sung by Stroman in her gentle, dove-like voice and snuggled in delicate piano and the occasional acoustic guitar.
Credit the album's sparkling production to Jack Richardson, the same guy who produced "American Woman," "These Eyes" and other hits by the Canadian rock band The Guess Who, as well as Bob Seger's "Night Moves" and -- ahem -- tracks by original shock-rock king Alice Cooper.
Yes, these songs will caress youngsters in pillowy soft, child-friendly sounds, but even adults looking to chill-out from life's helter-skelter may find solace here.
Amazon Customers say:
"I have had the opportunity to listen to each and every selection on this CD, and all of them are so unique, yet they all have a way of blending together to provide a calming, harmonious collection of lullabies for the listener. In particular, I enjoyed "Mother and Child," "Sparkles, Glitter, and Gold," and "Dream." I highly recomend this CD for everyone but especially for those with small children!!"
"I bought this with my child in mine, but little did I know that it would become one of my favorite cd's to relax to! I curl up on the couch with a cup of hot tea after a stressful day, pop in Paige's cd, and my stress just seems to drift away. Paige's voice is just beautiful and her songs are so touching. You can tell she's writing from experience!"
"My labor/delivery nurse recommended this Cd and I can see why! She said she uses it in most of her deliveries and it really helps to set the right mood for the babies to come into this world! When my niece listens to "Mother and Child", she drifts into sweet slumber. Her voice is smooth as velvet and the lyrics touch my soul! The nature sounds in the background are an enhancement to the songs. The CD is recommended by a Psychologist which is a plus to me"
Fresno Family: " Paige found me on a websearch, emailed me and asked if I would review her lullaby album on my site if she sent me a copy of her cd...Of course I said yes! I wouldn't pass up a free cd! Plus I really love lullaby cds! Well, let me tell you...ITS FANTASTIC!!! Paige has such a sweet voice...I actually enjoy listening to it myself just for relaxation! I can't wait for her to release more cds!"
New Mom Nicole: "I have so many lullaby CD’s that I can’t bear to listen to, but I actually look forward to listening to Paige’s. Mother and Child is so calming and soothing and the lyrics say exactly the things I feel and want for my child.”"
Sandy, OB/GYN Nurse: "I bought Paige’s CD for me and my 10 month old, Sarah, and then I bought one for my mom recovering from hip replacement surgery. The music is so relaxing and mom finds that it really calms her down when she is frustrated with the healing process!”"
